EDUCATING RITA
by Willy Russell

Lily Blouin returns to Starry Night to portray Rita, a 26 year-old Liverpool hairdresser eager for education and the worlds it can open up. Her tutor is Frank, an English professor and disillusioned poet. Charmed by the lively and sassy Rita, Frank fears changing her into a jaded academic. But Rita wants the choice to find out who she is and dreams of a future that is not limited by babies and drinking at the local pub. Together they discover new possibilities about themselves and the course of their lives.

Presented in collaboration with the WIU Department of Theatre & Dance
