About the Company

The Starry Night Repertory Theatre was founded by Artistic Director Jeannie Marlin Woods.

MISSION:

The Starry Night Repertory Theatre is an ensemble of theatre artists dedicated to the continuing pursuit of artistic excellence. Our mission is to explore the mysteries of the human condition and spirit through the creation and presentation of dramatic works of substance and significance.

Our primary goals are:

  • To create an artistic home that ensures a safe and supportive environment for artists through collaboration, cooperation and individual creativity; and
  • To enrich our community and our world with a theatre of great beauty that will touch the human heart, inspiring hope, compassion and understanding.

HISTORY
Founded in 2009, Starry Night Repertory is a project-based theatre that uses community spaces to create a repertory of theatre productions in Macomb, Illinois and to tour selected productions throughout the region.

In 2010 we produced VINCENT and LAST TRAIN TO NIBROC and in the 2010-11 season we produced THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED) and THE CONFLICT: A SOLDIER'S MEMORIES OF THE CIVIL WAR.
